Hey, I'm Matilda
the face behind The Good Room Club.
I’ve been into photography, colour, design, art and anything visual for as long as I can remember. My biggest inspiration has been my mum Katariina and sister Henriikka from Finland, along with Finnish design in general. The way they put things together has really shaped my own style and how I approach interiors. I’ve then layered that with a more eclectic, slightly maximalist edge to create my own flair and make spaces feel more unexpected and unique.
I studied Interior Design at Unitec and graduated as one of the top awarded students in 2025 with a background in commercial fitout project management and photography.
I believe good design should be for everyone and accessible. You don’t need to get lost on Pinterest or feel overwhelmed. I’m here as your design friend, someone you can ask for a little help, a second opinion, or a clear direction to pull your space together in your own time.
